| Message | street racing any type of racing, and you happen to miss a gear 1st 2nd or 3rd ec, you are usally in high RPM. So when you do miss a gear you put your motor in a stage of FREE REv. Things happen so fast that your ECU cant always detact whats going on, so thats why when some people drag race and miss a Gear their RPM's could go up to 9k+ if they dont let off soon enough. This usally happens when your power shifting, when your at the Strip and shifting like if your life depends on it and before you know it you missed a gear and RPM's went to 9k+. Yes rev limiters are usally set to 7200rpm, but ill give you an example. Turn your car on, warm it up and leave it in N and rev it once you get close to 7100rpm just punch it and ill bet it will go past your Rev Limiter, hope that helps what i was trying to say early in the day, In a reply to ASHZ Post regarding the JWT SPRINGS AND 500 CAS.
